The Cinema&Sport team in partnership with Festigol through the Sport in World Cinema project

Partnership with Festigol - Film and Football Festival 

We are very happy to establish a partnership with Festigol through the Sport in World Cinema project.

Festigol is an independent non-competitive football film and documentary festival held in Santiago de Chile since 2016. The film festival aims to create a space where football is shown as a creator of stories beyond the field, demanding it as a social phenomenon and culture in Chile, as well as around the world. "We see football as a builder of identities, mobilizing affections, narratives and memories of our society. The film festival seeks to be a means of appropriating and reevaluating cultural manifestations related to football."

In addition to film exhibitions, the film festival seeks to bring together different audiences by creating a meeting point for different cultural expressions related to football, allowing the development of emerging issues linked to football and our society.

The Cinema&Sport team will not only support the promotion of the festival but we will also work together. Festigol has a cinema library with some films that we will cover together in our Sport in World Cinema project.
