EN - Muybridge's studies of the human body continued. Never satisfied with his work. This time he used the sport of football to understand all the movements involved in the action. The way we kick the ball, or raise the leg in a quick movement that allows us to touch the ball and spin it to another place.

The modern game of football was invented in England in 1863. But it caught Muybridge's attention. In this study by the photographer, too, a half-naked man is subjected to the movement of the sport. With these shots, we can study the phases of football and the title of this sequence.

PT - Os estudos do corpo humano por Muybridge continuavam. Nunca satisfeito com o seu trabalho. Desta vez utilizou o desporto futebol para entender todo o movimento nesta ação. A forma como chutamos a bola, ou elevamos a perna num movimento rápido que possibilita o toque na bola e a faz girar para outro local.

O jogo moderno do futebol foi criado em 1863 em Inglaterra. Mas conseguiu a atenção de Muybridge. Novamente neste estudo do fotografo, um homem semi nu é exposto ao movimento do desporto. Com estas capturas podemos estudas as fases do futebol e o título desta sequência.
